Getting Out The Vote is the key to winning any election. The ratio of Democrats to Republicans in a given area really doesn't matter. It is the ratio of Democrats to Republicans who VOTE that makes the difference. Therefore, it's imperative that Democrats work diligently in EVERY Precinct to get all Democrats Registered and Get them to the Polls on Election Day!
Precincts are the basic unit of organization in the Democratic Party. Wake County has 188 precincts. One of the best ways to get involved in local politics is to contact your precinct chairperson or Wake County Young Democrats Vice President and Voter Registration/GOTV Chair, Sam Evans, at sevans6810@aol.com. If your precinct doesn't have a chair, consider becoming one yourself.
